This is what it looks like taking the Maverick R from 13 gallons to 19 gallons…… Every single factory panel is in place, even the factory “smart” systems fuse block stays in its factory location. Not a single aftermarket bolt, strap, or screw was used. Nothing gets cut, nothing gets bent, nothing gets changed…..Factory fuel pump, fill neck, vent line used, as well as a more accurate reading OEM fuel gauge.
It's no secret that the Maverick R platform loves to drink fuel. Compound this with a tune adding more boost, or even E-85, and your MPG's are thrown out the window. RPM's precisely engineered, rotomolded, OEM replacement tank takes your fuel capacity from a measly 13 gallons to 19 gallons with out losing ANY dash pieces, no lost glovebox, and no re routing factory features. We even clearance room for the use of the factory Smart Control Module. This is a hassle free, clean installation that utilizes the factory fuel pump, breather line, factory tank straps, fill cap, seal, and factory fuel pump. The factory fuel pumps sensor still reads true and more accurate leaving your MPG worries in the dust. Tested and proven in Baja in not only the craziest of terrain & by the toughest racers also. Constructed from 7.5mm thick ethanol safe Rotomolded plastic, the RPM tank is drastically stronger than even the factory tank. A factory style roll over one way valve is secured with a 6061 billet retention block.

Installation is much easier than you think, and they are correct, NO mods needed. Range anxiety? This will help fix that. Need more? Check out their under seat tanks. For me, I need range in Baja, and the combination of the two products does just that.
I was on the fence about taking apart my brand new Mav R, but after seeing that rpm came up with an oem tank swap that gave almost 6 gallons more than stock without having to make any permanent changes or modifications to the existing system I didn’t hesitate. The tank quality is far superior than the oem tank to boot. The installation wasn’t nearly as bad as I expected and was done in an afternoon. The one thing I personally wasn’t a fan of was the recommended zip tie for the vent tube. I just purchased a fuel clamp for $3 and secured it. Overall I think this was worth every penny and am looking forward to more seat time and less time filling up.
The tank fit really good , i had to relocate the rugged radios car to car but other than that the instructions were very easy to follow and with just a little strategic pressure the tank fit nicely . The added fuel capacity is very welcome .
For sure it’s the move to go to 19 gallons. Running E-85 for the horsepower, but burns twice as fast. The bigger gas tank helps with the longer rides, actually out lasts my buddies that run 91 octane, all while still running close to 100 more horsepower. All due to larger gas tank. Great investment.
I was concerned that this was going to be a tough fit to stuff in the limited space. Turns out it was smooth. Went right in and for such a daunting description went very smooth. I had three helpers just in case and everyone was surprised that it was not harder to do. Great job on the engineering. It will get its real test this weekend in the Gold Rush Virginia City to Tonopah 350 mile race!
I bought this to replace another manufacturers high capacity tank.
The other tank was horrible. It was hard to install leaked and had to be resealed 5 times.
The RPM tank was fantastic. It went right in, cleared everything, and was sealed up tight with no effort. I wish I started with this tank to begin with.
