RPM Polaris 850 Turbo BOV Kit
Protect your turbocharger and eliminate compressor surge on your Polaris Patriot Boost 850 with RPM’s Performance Blow-Off Valve (BOV) Kit! Engineered specifically for the factory-boosted Polaris 850 platform, this BOV features a custom internal spring rate calibrated precisely to match the vacuum drawn by the Patriot Boost engine at idle and off-boost conditions.
When chop-throttling or suddenly letting off the gas under boost, pressurized air reflects back toward the turbocharger, causing severe turbo flutter and compressor surge. The RPM BOV instantly vents this excess charge pressure, eliminating strain on the turbine wheel and maintaining wheel speed. This translates to faster turbo spool times, sharper throttle response, and significantly extended turbocharger life.
The kit includes a patent-pending stainless steel boost reference port that installs post-throttle bodies and pre-reed valves for ultra-fast, accurate pressure sensing. To protect internal engine components from deep snow and debris, the BOV comes equipped with a dedicated BOV filter and water-repellent pre-filter cover.
⚠️ INSTALLATION & CHARGE TUBE REQUIREMENT:
Charge Tube Required: This kit requires the RPM Polaris 850 HD 5-Ply Silicone Charge Tube (equipped with the integrated 25mm BOV port).
Boost Port Tap: Installing the patent-pending stainless boost reference port requires tapping into the factory engine casing location post-throttle body / pre-reed valve. Detailed instructions are included for both on-machine and bench installation with throttle bodies removed.
