While the 2020+ factory intercoolers are larger than early models, they still suffer from heat soak under aggressive tuning and hot ambient conditions. RPM's massive, oversized bar-and-plate core delivers a dramatic reduction in intake air temperatures (IATs)—dropping temps by up to 40°F in brutal desert testing.

Featuring a gigantic 12" x 11" x 4" high-density bar-and-plate core, this drop-in replacement stays cool far longer than stock, keeping your engine out of knock/detonation trim and allowing your tune to hold maximum timing and boost safely on 91 oct. For 120HP non-intercooled base model owners jumping to 195+ HP tunes, this intercooler is an essential foundation for reliable power. Designed to bolt right into factory locations, it utilizes your stock fan/shroud assembly or upgrades seamlessly to our RPM Brushless Fan for ultimate thermal management.

(Fan Requirement Note: Existing intercooled models reuse their factory fan assembly or upgrade to an RPM Brushless Fan. Base 120HP non-intercooled models require an OEM fan #715900625 or the RPM Brushless Fan Kit).

2023 X3 RR and it was a flawless fit. If you’re running the S&B particle separator yes it will fit just gotta trim a 1/2” off by where it mounts to the car. Other than that it’s perfect 👌🏻

Quality seems really good including the charge tubes I ordered with it. Installation was fairly easy after a little trimming. There was one mount bolt hole stripped but I made it work.
